Pyramidia has been funded by highly supportive and mission-aligned institutional, developmental and private capital investors. We are about to scale up our proven studio model rapidly and attracting the right partners is key to our success. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for advancing our studio’s partnerships and capital raising, and spearhead our individual ventures’ fundraising efforts. This role is a senior leadership role within the current team and you will work very closely with the studio’s partners/founders and our venture co-founders.

As a Venture Building Manager, your main responsibility is to manage the venture building processes and activities in the studio. You are responsible for moving multiple ventures through our funnel from ideation to pilots to launch to spin-off, and then support scaling our ventures. You will work in a highly agile and entrepreneurial manner, on several ventures at the same time, managing the Pyramidia Venture Building team, and in close cooperation with Pyramidia’s partners and the venture co-founders. You will be involved in all stages of our funnel: ideating, researching and assessing new ideas, piloting promising models on the ground for early validation, starting, iterating and ramping up small-scale operations, and when a venture co-founder is on board, supporting them with scaling. This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, with frequent travel and longer stays (up to two weeks at a time) across the country (depending on where the activities of our ventures are based).

We are seeking a General Manager to lead and scale Savannah Seritech through its next phase of growth, from pilot success to commercial scale. This is a hands-on leadership role for a data-driven, results-oriented operator who can balance strategic thinking with field execution.

You will own the company’s operational and commercial scale-up across mulberry farming, silkworm rearing, farmer expansion, and silk processing, while working closely with Pyramidia’s venture-building team for strategic, financial, and operational support.
Time split: The role is primarily field-based, with approximately three weeks each month in rural Kenya (Sindo, Homa Bay) and one week in Nairobi for coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
